The F-22 Raptor, primarily developed by Lockheed Martin Corp, also benefits from Boeing’s contributions, which include the aft fuselage, avionics, training systems, and wings. The USAF considers the F-22 a “critical component” of their tactical power, highlighting its vital role in modern air combat. In total, 195 F-22 Raptors were produced, with 187 currently in service. Despite its advanced abilities, production ended in 2011, mainly due to the arrival of the F-35 and new strategic priorities.
